ZAKAT
The alms or zakat. The Quran refers to it in more than 80 occasions. Muslims must give an annual alms to the poorest people in your community, starting with family and neighbors. The amount of zakat is ideally located on a 2.5% provided they exceed certain amount. The alms may be in cash and in kind: not only economic rents are computable, but also cattle, goods, extracted minerals, fruits and cereals.
Its purpose is to limit the accumulation of wealth, purify the soul of avarice and greed, help the poor and needy, build community spirit and help create works of public utility such as schools or hospitals. The beneficiaries of the charity are, first, those unable to secure their livelihood. They also benefit from the same alms collectors own, for work performed; people recently converted to Islam, especially if they have some influence on their environment; indebted people unable to pay its debts; Muslims who are far from home and have no means to return and when slavery existed, slaves, as with charity bought his freedom.

Overall, five day. After a first visit to the Al-Haram Mosque, where the Kaaba is bypassed and the Well of Zamzam water you drink, the pilgrims head to the town of Mina, just outside the city. The next day leave for Mount Arafat, 20 miles from Mecca, and the third day return to Mina. Mine is returned to Mecca, passing by a place where the stoning ritual known masonry three pillars representing the devil is performed. The other rituals are performed again in the holy city.
